Free Hosting! why

With the free plans being severely limited, they want people to upgrade to paid plans later on. Google Ads and YouTube advertising can become very expensive very quickly, which is why they use this tactic.
 
Free hosting can save costs, making it ideal for beginners or small projects. However, it often has limitations, such as ads, less storage, and limited support. Consider your needs before opting in!

I have used freehosting.com for a site for years, and have had no issues with the service nagging me to upgrade. One day every so often, there is downtime, but I didn't need near 100% uptime for that domain anyway. So long as you can work with a free web host's limitations, using it for a particular site is fine.

Usually I agree that nothing is free. But regarding free hosting i've been using netlify, vercel and cloudlfare for a year and haven't paid anything to them. And there are no ads

I also don't understand what the owner of the platform I'm using was thinking when they created a free hosting platform. There are only 2 pop ups at the beginning of the video, the rest I don't see any limits on storage or quality and they don't delete any of my inactive videos. Sometimes I wonder if the platform I'm using will crash soon. omg. Luckily for me, after a few months of using it, I see that it's still working fine.

So it's a business strategy. I can also earn extra income from other advertisers on their platform. but for me, I just need a free hosting platform with no quality limits and no deletion of my videos
 
Free hosting's kinda like a loss leader, gets you hooked on their ecosystem, then they upsell you on features. Beats paying for ads, cause you're actually *using* their service, right?
