Free Hosting Vs Paid Hosting

hey guys, i use a free hosting 000webhost its free hosting no ads, whats the difference or benefits of paid vs free. the free hosting has the pretty much everything. so not sure why. and how much traffic can free hosting take vspaid?

Free hosting:

- they can shut you down for any reason (or no reason at all)
- they can and will invisibly steal your traffic in the background
- they're probably taking your 404 traffic
- it's slow
- there are frequent outages
- you can't bitch and moan if there's downtime because it's free
- you can't build up your own trusted domain
- a hardcore spammer like me can poison an entire free host domain, including your site
- you can't really sell a free hosted site
- sites on freehost subdomains look cheap and spammy from the surfer's perspective

Basically freehosts are good for two things only: spamming and abusing, or for making some initial money when you're very first starting out. As soon as you can, you want to be building sites on your own domains (that are registered in your name at an independent registrar) on fast, stable paid hosting.

Bro. don't even think! Get a decent hosting from someone like bluehost, hostgator or the sort. Simply put, would you want to register or even buy something from a site that's extremely slow in loading, pops up 404's often or so? What you would not want, you can't give your visitors too.

As mentioned by others, free hosts blow.
If they are not doing the things mentioned above (and they probably are) then they are just filling their books hoping to either a) eventually stop free hosting and try and push members to paid or b) sell to someone who will do the same.

Main reason though is they are just unreliable as hell, and generally have a lot of crap on their IPs because they are a huge spam target.

Hint from the above paragraph, they do have their uses though!
 
i'm using 000webhost for simple blogs that redirect, hardly any down time, don't listen to everyone here. hostgator prolly has given me atleast the same amount of down time, if not more than 000webhost
 
im think paid hosts have better bandwidth and are a little more quicker imo
 
If your going for a free host,then get a blogspot domain,since they allow you to put adsense ads on it. And its the easiest way to get approved for adsense. I got approved in less then 24 hours and only had 2 or 3 articles on it.
