Is this legit? Can't tell because they are all "newbie" accounts and have the same number of posts :S

According to their signup page they provide 200 GB monthly transfer.

Not tried them to know if they're stable/fast though.

I have used them extensively for running landing pages, but be aware, they NEVER seem to get into the SERPS, much like many free hosts. They are great for running through social media or other landing campaigns where you do not want the page associated with one of your domains though. If you do not get a lot of traffic to them, they will take it back, like many free hosts. You can't put too much of a load on them either, as they are shared, virtual hosting. Use html pages, not WP with lug in loads and you should be fine.

    x10 hosting is good too.

But why would they not rank well? I assumed you would rank any website on what ever host you are on?

I may be wrong, so take what I say with a grain of salt, but I have never used them for ranking for two reasons:

    1. Free hosting can pull the plug out of under you for the smallest infraction, and you will have to then find another home for your domain

    2. There are so many inferior sites, unfinished projects, and "doorways" created on the free sites, that the whole IP range is pretty sure to be considered a "bad neighborhood" by google. I too long for the good ol' days when an angelfire or geocities blog could cruise to #1 for some adsense rampaging with some simple keyword stuffing, but those days are long gone.
