Some by showing their ads on your site (no my)
and some be selling upgrades!!!
i do get paid if someone upgrades but thats not the issue here,
the free service is good for at least 3 blogs !!!
or any other script/site for that mater!

The catch is if someone types your url wrong they'll get 5000 pop ups 5000 links oh and not to forget your browser will crash

i give try and going to setup but when i setup DNS on godday by using
NS1.FREE-SITE-HOST.ORG
NS2.FREE-SITE-HOST.ORG
and its show Nameserver not registered

i have a blog on 000webhost
with maxblogpress ping optimizer & auto social poster
and it works just fine but you have to host the cron job else where.
and for you question : yes they work on my server

i am not sure, its seem have force ad appear while i setting Fantastico wordpress installs,
i will try to upload wordpress myself to see it have force ad or not

ok, i did addon domain
at ftp the path for upload is /mydoamin.com/htdocs only way can upload
i am not sure what is htdocs for because this is first time i using vista panel,
maybe its just similar to public_html cpanel.

so i upload an index.htm to /mydoamin.com/htdocs , i am sure its appear ad on index.htm when i type ww w.mydomain.c om on firefox.

the vista panel will show ads!!

and no cron jobs are not offered!
but you can use free sites like wsscheduler.com to run your cron
