Im going to be showing you how to take off the banners for the free godaddy hosting. So you can pay the 9.99 a year for a domain there or the price for a .info. They give you free hosting for any domain you purchase through them which might be good for some stuff. I don't howeverrecommend using godaddy for BH stuff.

After you set up the free hosting ( i wont go into detail on how to do that ) click on hosting-->(drop down to) My hosting account*click*

On the line your domain is you want to modify click "manage account"

Then it should open a new window or tab and pring you into the control panel. Then content-->(drop down to) IIS Management*click*

Then simply click the modify Next to "refresh list"

Then it will give you an two options for ASP you would want to select 1.1

Now save it "continue" then "update"

Wait up to 20 min or as soon as five and your ugly go daddy banner will be removed. I still use this on few sites of mine that dont require a lot of bandwidth and that are not blackhat.

-Enjoy-

Damnn i didn't even know they put ads up since i got adBlock for firefox; What exaclty are the differences between ASP 1.1 and the others?

This for real man? Awesome fckin post eh! Would try this asap as soon as my site's up again. Had a prob with 000webhost as they no longer allow adult content for free hosting (didn't know since when lol). Didn't notice til my site's down last July. Thanks given!

Great post. I will try this out for sure.

Forgot to mention use windows hosting for this to work

I tried this once, and they have their own robots.txt that overrides yours which basically stops google indexxing the site. (With free hosting)

No joke - add your site to google webmasters and watch it try and crawl the site and come up with errors with robots.txt even when you have no/your own robots.txt

This is not true. Im indexed on all my pages that i use this on ( 12) and it works with no problem.

Great tip. Is this type of hosting any good for regular, non bh wp blogs & such?

I just checked out the site there & see they have .info domains for $0.79 & free privacy if you buy 6 or more. So for less than $5 you could have 6 private domains with free hosting - pretty cool!

Nice.. I normally always use linux for hosting but this can come in handy for some of my sites.

I might give this a go on my black hat tool site, since it shouldn't need that much bandwith, and I have try and do the free privacy trick, Don't really want to stick a black hat tool on my main hosting.

NICE!! I don't get why you have so few "thanks". If I could, I would give you two.

yeah i have installed wp on this host before using the free hosting.

I have also noticed if you install a cms like drupal onto the free hosting it also removes the banners.

I've been reading absolute horror stories in some other threads about godaddy... what has your experience with them been like?

your the man for this information, headed over to godaddy to test it out.

Overall its OKAY. I would not buy their hosting though. This is the only way I use their hosting. I dont experience downtime with them though. Their support can be funny sometimes they are good sometimes they are horrible other times. Dont use godaddy for Blackhat stuff or adult sites. You will get shut down as soon as they notice or a complaint is issued. I like using hostgator their support is unmatched as far as I have seen. I like using byethost for landers and sending out BH emails but the support for that site is really rediculous .However byethost smtp servers works really well with EAR.(you can cloak the sending email unlike HG where it shows as [email protected])

so to sum it up- as you can use this for a lot of good things its not my highest recommendation for all sites. Just wanted to give the options for everyone to use it cheap and use it for the appropriate sites to avoid problems. NOW GO MAKE MONEY!
