In all seriousness you won't get one for free exactly its possible you could get one for free for a year if you give them credit card details some domain business's do that or you could go on a gpt site complete offers until you have enough for a domain but you will never get one free unless some one is feeling generous.

there is always a free cc domain but never heard of a dot.com or dot.net domain for free unless some one gives it to ya.

Its not really a domain but a subdomain. if you really want a domain go to fiverr.com and make some gigs about things that you are capable of like article writing, make reviews, forum posting.

You can only get free domain with any hostingg package from Justhost ot Hostgator and many other hosting providors .
You can only get free domain like .co.cc , .tk , .co.cz etc and also subdomains .

Warrior66 got it right. However, you'll have to pay a fee after the first month passes in order to keep the domain and hosting. Could be worth it if you know you're going to generate income with it.

The only way you'd get one for free is if you give some information to the domain registration people. It would have to be in a promotion also.

godaddy usually has a promo of $0.01 for a domain. I believe they did it twice in the past year
