I wouldn't say it's important, but I got so used to this that I would probably bitch about it if it wasn't offered anymore

No. In fact I will usually ignore hosting that offers a free domain.

No such thing as a free lunch in this world. If they are offering a free domain it means they are adding that cost over in your hosting plan. Their machines will be more expensive than they need to be if they do this.

I’m looking for a hosting provider that offers a free domain with hosting package. Also need support for https://arzhost.com/rdps/ so I can manage things remotely. Any recommendations for reliable and budget-friendly options?

If you are going to choose a provider by freebies, it would be a wrong strategy. It can be a pleasant bonus. No more, no less.
