Why not? blogspot is one of my favorite my web 2.0 properties, it is easy to get indexed.

Yes they do. Their whole main search engine is based around providing the best possible search results and therefore they want sites that were linked to naturally. So they would
They go after pbns which takes lots of man power and work. But only a small implementation to possibly find out if your the one making the blogspot. Better safe than sorry. Not to mention they make huge amounts of money from serp ads. They don't want people to be able to do seo and they want them to pay google for ad spot on serp.

I'm pretty sure we would all get screwed if that were to happen. But I beg to differ.
