[FREE] Current Web2.0 Blog List - 60 Websites

I need more info on wikidot.com from the people say they're getting banned. I have a site there on solar panels and its doing just fine. I'm seeing a ton of "spammy" type pages in the index. There's over 2.1 million pages indexed for wikidot.

Exactly what is the niches you guys are claiming that gets banned? Was it a spammy looking 1 page spin you put up or was it quality?

Some of these sites are certainly spam havens. Some require quality content. The fact that wikidot.com is heavily moderated actually makes it a fantastic website, that is why google allows it to keep 2.1 million pages in its index.

So unless someone is saying that they're posting non-spammy looking content and still getting banned for no reason, I think its still a quality addition to the list.

I'm posting content on all these places now, and if I end up getting banned at places I'll either remove them from the list, or I'll put a special icon next to the host saying that they're super picky.

I have a grave concern .. and I'd like to appeal to people to quit spamming. Posting spun/unreadable/scraped trash on these pages will not get you anywhere. You guys will just make the lives of real SEOs a lot harder. Be a real SEO, not some shitty spammer.

I'm seeing a lot of trash pages being created on this web 2.0. If you want to be SEO don't put trash on the net, put something useful. Invest money or at least your time. Shortcuts will just kill our industry. :|

Just an FYI. Diaryland will only accept signups if a) you pay $2 or b) you get an invite from a paid member.

Ok, thanks to OP for good list...

Here's some updates as Ive gone down the left hand side of the list checking for signup-ability and which sites are still accepting posts.

Please note that I am not from US, so some may be IP related bans or something similar that will not allow signups:

Angelfire.com - even clicking on the free signup button - error message saying you have to pay

Blockstar.com - as above - you can create a user - but you can't then login

Diaryland.com - cannot signup - not allowed anymore

Gather.com - cannot signup - might be IP related

mywapblog.com - if you have short email addresses, you would be able to signup, but the field length is sooosuper short

nireblog.com - closed to new blogs

Will start on the right hand side soon to check which are still valid.

Some more from the right hand side of the US list:

ohlog.com - For whatever reason the captcha always says it is incorrect... so cannot signup

Prblogs.org - Registration disabled

Tabulas.com - Registration currently disabled

Typepad - seems to be a 14 day trial period site

Please check them and update your list

rankdominator, pay more attention - typepad definitely has free account, I succeeded creating one just a 3 days ago. But I never get typepad's "post by email" working and their "submit a support ticket" gave only errors, so I couldn't ask their help ether.

Well I'll check out your list and thanks rankdominator, I just made an angelfire account the day before yesterday and it was free (they have 11.3 million pages indexed so I doubt those are all from paid accounts). Typepad is definitely a free option (I have a PR6 typepad blog that has been free for almost a year now, before then they were paid only but they have a free option now). Blockstar has already been removed, I'll double check everything else now.

maybe this could also come in handy:

angelfire.com - kept, they are free and no problems
typepad.com - kept, they are free with no issues
diaryland - they stopped accepting new members
gather.com - no problems signing up with gather
mywapblog.com - I decided to give it a try with a long email address. the field is too short. I went "view source", saved it as c:\register.html. I went to action= and switched it to http://www.mywapblog.com/register.php, I went to the email field and switched maxlength from 25 to 100. I loaded c:\register.html in browser and typed in my info (with a long email address) and signed up no problems ... they sent the confirmation to my long email address and everything. So if you don't have a short email address, just do that.
nireblog.com - thanks removed from list
ohlog.com - I created an account 10 seconds ago and had no problem with the captcha
prblogs.org - removed from list they are only allowing edu emails to sign up now
opendiary.com - they have issues with indexing so I'm not going to add them. they only have 9k pages indexed in google. you can't find site : opendiary.com "seo services" or site : opendiary.com "ugg boots" or anything else that is SEO related.

@andreyg13: I looked that list over and didn't find anything that looked promising for a blog web2.0 list that is good for SEO and has lots of pages indexed in google

About whether a Germany website would benefit from American blogs, I don't see why they wouldn't. If all I had to promote my american websites were German blogs, I'd use them rather than use nothing. But when you have 80 to work with and you're making link pyramids, nothing wrong with making your tier1 be from the same country you're in and your tier2 and beyond other countries.

2. blurty.com - reg page is messed up and submit does not work
3. bravenet.com - spent 30 mins playing with my account, cannot find the free blog option, everything links to paid services.
4. flukiest.com - 403 on home page

As I mentioned before, it could be that registration from certain IP ranges is problematic for some sites ... just giving my feedback. Thanks for re-testing each one.

A quick question - are people using these as direct links to their money sites, or using them as link wheels / link pyramids.

Would love to see a case study on the effectiveness of each type of method - maybe when I have gone through them all this may be something that I will undertake.

At the moment I am busy scripting each site to get to a more automated process for signups and posting. Unfortunately, some of the sites send you the password via email so cant really automate that at the moment.

Bookmarked. Will add this to my WEB 2.0 toolbox.
