I always wanted to dive into Spaces but never really got into it.

What are they anyway? Like mini blogs you posts inside your account?

I have a Quora account on very good standings. I haven´t been active in the past few months but my answers are still getting 3k+ views.

Spaces are like facebook groups.
 
I get the similarity to FB groups, but is there any real purpose on Quora's platform. Is it worth having in the first place ?

We can share our links on those spaces and get some traffic to our sites... I think Quora links are a bit more valuable than FB links for SEO.
 
But you have to develop the space before you can get any value out of it. Everything you share in the space stays in the space and only your space followers can see it.
