I don't know why, but for some reason people think that creating a content locker is some godly piece of software.

I decided to make my own content locking system just to share with you guys. I did some of it at work (Which you can see at the thread above). And completed it in the past half hour or so. You can see a demo here :

So to get it working, you need to copy and paste this javascript into the header of your page.

The only options you need to worry about in there are right at the top. The "Delay". You can set this to however many seconds you want the gateway to come down, AFTER they have clicked one of the offers.

Here are the styles used. Copy and paste these into the head of your page aswell.

Some of this isn't needed, but rather than clean it up I will leave it to you guys. There is no danger though in just using this stock.

Finally you will need to post this into the body of your page. I could do it via javascript, but I think it makes it far more readable and easier to edit when it is just in plain HTML form. I recommend posting it just after the <body> tag, but you can place it anywhere in there.

Obviously edit as you see fit. You can change the URL's and the message, well really anything in the HTML. It should all be pretty easy to change, just check where it it is in the source.

If anyone has any questions on this, fire away. I don't want to be installing this on everyones pages though, so it is up to you guys. But there is seriously no excuse for people not implementing this now.

1. How can we implement Geo-Targeting And Ad-Rotation(or a Drop-Down Menu with ads)?
2. How can we implement Referer Blanking/Spoofing that NEVER leaks the referer?

Geo targeting and ad rotation are fairly easy to implement. But likely require either a bit of coding on my end, or you installing a database. Both of which I don't want to do, simply because of the support I will have to give.

Referrer blanking can be done on your own. Running your offers through referrer blanking tools. Doesn't need to be done in the gateway.

As far as Geo target goes, add this to your root and point to this script instead of your Cpa links in pyronaut's script.

I tested this today with over 20 countries and works perfectly. As for the Referer blanking, you would have to add some DMR of some sort into this script , still trying to work it out . You also need to attach a .dat file geoip
, can't upload it for some reason though . The only problem I see with this gateway script is it relies on timers like BHCB , there needs to be some sort of trackback from the Network that verifies offer completion and unlocks the content.

That is actually very very easy to do.

You can set the postback to save the data into a database with the users IP. You can just set a timer to fire every 5 seconds to check the database for the postback data.

But... I would spend all my time getting people setup with it.

Looks nice indeed. However when Noscript a firefox plugin is installed you wont see the Gateway which could cost you some conversions. Nevertheless looks nice indeed. I will hold off on the bhcb for a while to see how far this can progress.

Now if we could incorporate some blank referring this would be an amazing free alternative.

Yeah the dimmer doesn't always work. You can remove it completely if you wish because it isn't that neccesary.

The type of internet user that has NoScript installed isn't the type of user that is going to be filling out any CPA offers anyway.

They are typically the same type of internet users we are...savvy.

It is impossible to create a gateway with noscript. Infact, half the web won't work with no javascript turned on....

HTML itself is just static. There is no way other than javascript to make pages "alive" and react.

I wouldn't mind having a more structured download section for members tools actually. Maybe not ontop of vbulletin, but on a separate subdomain or something where we can find downloads like this more easily.
 
When embedding a Youtube clip into a webpage via css with the Content Locker also, the Youtube clip will block half the Content Locker.

Anyone have any ideas around this? :D~
