Free Content Locker WITH POSTBACK, Seriously!

This is clearly a stolen version of CLP. The guy must be doing something to make $$. Maybe putting his own offers in there.

With some quick searches I see the same script posted on another forum in February. Definitely something strange going on here..

Actually I saw deadbolter out quite a while ago, so I don't think it stole off of CLP..

Just thought I'd chirp in and clarify... whilst CLP and Deadbolter look similar on the front-end (due to the framework they were built on) the features of CLP FAR outweigh those of deadbolter, plus the fact CLP is self-hosted makes it an entirely different product.

I am going out on a limb and using it. i will let you know what I think. So far it seems ok, wish there was more customisation, but it works. I do like the idea of postback, and am awaiting some API info back from a sponsor to roll it out. I fought with satnd alone CPA redirector an another gateway, but due to coding limitations, this was a grat quick fix (fingers crossed) to make the project earn its own gateway in the next few days.

If you want to slice or other functions, this is not the deal, but for a simple gateway with postback, it seems so far to be exactly what it says it is, which is better than some shares here. Thanks a lot.

added edit: My review:

For a hosted solution this is a very convenient tool for those who do not know how, or do not wish to fuss with full server control. Great for entry into the field and use to make the money needed for a self hosted solution to take it to the next level.

I have no complasints and only a few requests/suggestions

1. Get a Privacy Policy - without a privacy policy (hell they could just throw up a generic one), browser settings will block viewing the gateway with the use of some malware tools, (in my tests, AVG paid and malwarebytes paid caused script failure).

There is no problem with free version users (our mark in most cases anyway), so it is not a huge issue, other than the fact that it is so simple to fix.

2. The requirement to use a postback (instead of simple timing function) subid is not comforting in some cases, as the postback is convenient, and a much appreciated feature, but not preferred on some of my gateway urls and affiliate links. (if there is a way to reset this that i have not noticed, I apologize and would love to be informed).

Overall though, a great share, and I think I will continue to find uses for this. If anyone here is affiliated with the site, please post a privacy policy so that we can extend our market to people with paid for antivirus and antimalware tools and IE. Its a copy and paste job that could be so beneficial to your website and its users.

Can somebody explain what a postback is? And thank you very much for the share.

Postback means that right when the offer is completed the network you use will send you data, with the data you can make the gateway widget automatically unlock because you know for sure the offer has been completed.

If you don't use a postback the gateway widget relies on a users click and a timer to unlock itself.
