Here is a website which is offering .com domains free for first year and they will charge you 9$ from next year.

1and1 offers free anonimity for domains
I have a few domains there, fully satisfied with them
 
Is this only 1 free domain per 1and1 account? Or 1 per CC?

can i use my prepaid CC cause i got a bunch of old ones i used up allready
 
from my experience with 1and1, they are complete shit. Wouldnt ever do business with them.
 
Don't ever get too much going on with 1and1. They are probably one of the worst domain registrars going and will screw you over in a heartbeat.
 
I had problem with 1 on 1 -- they take a long time to set thing up
I will not use them again
 
I wouldn't thrust 1and1 even if they are giving free domains... oh wait...
 
na.. i tried using vcc.. bt they just want too much info for a domain .. its better to go for netfirms 3.99 i guess.. thanks Op for sharing it
 
Yeah dont even consider doing mailing with your domains u host with them. They shut them down on a whim
 
I did a host/domain trial thing with them, and as long as you cancelled before the end they wouldnt charge you, yet their cancellation form never worked(probably purposely) after days and even after notifying them they said the only other option is to fax them a paper with my signature on it, course I ignored them. It was a free trial you dont need a damn signature.

got something in the mail from them awhile back saying i owe them like 30 dollars, since I never cancelled. They're a joke and very shady.
