I don't get it, they just give free domains? whats the catch?

There doesnt appeare to be any attatched strings...
A very good friend of mine had some pretty bad stuff to say about 1&1, but the offer is good....
5 free domains, I personally think we should get in quick

Holy! Enough of all this 1&1 spam all ready.

price is free up front, need a credit card number, make sure you get rid of the auto renewal if you dont want it, but its free up front. if you need help with 1and1 bullshit let me know, i have over 50 domain names with them

sorry if you think it is spam, its not, clearly stated i'd post an affiliate link and where it comes from. its a fantastic offer

1and1 has been the worst domain registrar in my experience. Everytime they do promo's there's always a catch.

I guess this is only for US residents, I tried to sign up for the developers package and get redirected to 1&1.co.uk where they are charging full wack. Guess you're going to lose out on
my commission.

the commission is paltry, so no worries, I'd go elsewhere if you really want a good hosting package. I am not a fan of 1and1 either. hostgator seems to be good and dedi servers elsewhere work better of course. a free .com is the shit though.

When I see someone posting his affiliate link in the wrong section and in a thread that I have seen a dozen different times, it is officially classified as noob spam.

btw. I like how you changed your post so that your affiliate link is only included in you sig now. Nice touch! :thumb:

I'm in the same situation now, i reg a free domain yesterday and is still in waiting for approval, what approval ?, when i check whois is fukin free to register by anybody, WTF! Still i have a hosting account with them and 1 week ago i regged two domains from the admin panel, i didn't know they were included as free if i keep the host with them, and they were ready in about 4 hours after i oredered them..

It seems this very long delay happens only to this new offer of free domain with free start hosting.. watever

I was so pissed i even posted on the other thread, my post was ment to be in the thread mentioned above by orangeblossoms, sorry don't know what to do now

for the hassle of it I would suggest just sticking to your normal registrar as you know them and its easiest to have all your domains under one account in my opinion
