This forum has helped me so much, so I just thought I'd give you an example of one of the techniques I'm using to sell Clickbank through Craigslist.

Community section in Craigslist--Pets!

First: Go to SimpleVoiceBox(dot)com
They have a free 2nd phone line that will give you a voicemail box for free with an alternate phone number. Use this phone number in your Craigslist postings!

Second: Find a Clickbank product to promote
This is the fun part. For my test I used a product that helped housebreak pets.

Third: Record a Voicemail Message
This is where you will highlight the Bullet points and SELL the Clickbank product! Read right off the sales page! It's so simple. Sound like you know what you're talking about!

Fourth: Grab any domain
Get a .info from Godaddy for 89cents, or if you have one already, that's easy to remember, use that one.

Fifth: Forward your domain TO THE PURCHASE PAGE
If you've ever used forwarding, then you know how to check if your referral link is working. If not, all you have to do, is create a hoplink, forward your domain to that hoplink, enable masking. Type the domain name(this should bring you to the SALES page) and click on "Buy Now" or "Click to Order", where ever you can to get to the purchase page. Once on the purchase page, scroll down to the bottom and you should see your affiliate ID in brackets. Now that you are on this page and your affiliate ID is on the bottom of the page, go to the browser and copy the URL of the PURCHASE PAGE. Paste THIS into your domain forwarding (don't forget to take out the 'http://' if you need to.

Sixth: Say the domain a couple times in the Voicemail Sales message
Remind them to grab a pen and paper while they listen to the sales message.

Seventh: If the product has one of those 'Normally $499, now only $27'
Put it in the Voicemail message
Sell the sizzle
Don't forget to tell them about the secure download immediately after purchase, etc.

Now people looking through the pet section will come across your ad. Say something like, "Trying to house train your puppy? We can help" also include, "pre-recorded message" if you want to help minimize flagging. That's it!
They call, hear your pitch, write down your domain or open a new tab on their computer and BAM! They're on the purchase page, while they are listening to your sales pitch!

This works GREAT, especially if the Sales page is weak or not very 'pretty', most people that look at a cheap looking website will immediately exit out!

Once you have put togeather a script, see how you could cut down on what you want to say, so as to make your sales message more crisp and to the point. Put down your script and come back to it the next day and reassess and improve what you have written. Make as many "takes" as you need until you are happy with the message; make sure no unwanted background sounds can be heard like a dog barking or traffic passing by.
Your sales message should grab the attention of the caller, describing the item that the caller wants and asking him/her to listern closely to the rest of your message.
Give the caller a reason, an interest as to why they should want your offer. People are selfish, therefore appeal to the callers basic desire; this is why a lot of sales are impulsive.
Make your caller curious, list the benifits, create a need in their mind for your product.
Tell the caller your price, and compare the price to something they will be familar with - "less than a night out on the town". Do ask them outright for the order, then tell them exactly how to order; the easier it is for them the more sales you will achieve.
Once you have perfected the sales message, your Voice-Mail system is now a new member of your business, ready to put your sales message across and take details from interested callers, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Hope this helps! Get creative guys, which I know you can, and just do it! All of this is free and just takes a little work, but believe me it pays off.

Oh, don't forget those midwest states and cities---goldmine! Less posters means more sticky!

This got some wheels turning for me. I hate CL "marketing" like crazy (too much of a pain, IMO) but the voicemail thing always intruiged me. I have a couple of products on CB that I don't rely on affiliates to sell for me so I may give a spin on this a shot.
