I don't know if this will work, as I've never tested it, but it popped into my head so I decided to post it here.

1. Choose a product. (Success rate is probably higher if the product is not already popular)
2. Make sure that product is available for promotion.
3. Find a way to contact the owner.
4. Send an email with something like "Hey, I want to promote your product to my subscribers, but I need you to send me the product and bonuses first so I can make sure it's high quality."
5. If/when they send you the product, say that you're going to promote, say that it's not high enough quality, or ignore them.

And how does that make you money?

I think he means to save money by requesting review copies of clickbank products instead of paying for them.

In most instances you'll get a "p*ss off you w*nker!".

Back when I ran an affiliate program for one of our e-products we used to get several this kind of requests every week. Sometimes more than one per day.

There's two reasons why I suggested them all to jog on:

1. If you're an affiliate that is actually capable of doing something (i.e. an affiliate whom I'm interested in) then paying the 100 bucks for my product isn't going to affect your financial situation.

2. I can tell from the first two sentences of your email whether you're a serious affiliate or a joker fishing for a free copy of my product.

If you actually have authority in your niche you're going to get review copies of all kinds of products sent to you specifically so that you will promote to your list and provide reviews. But this involves providing value rather than just spamming people.

But maybe I could use this method to get free cars, or stock, or gold! Just offer reviews of some bank's Krugerrands on my PR0 Wordpress site and then sell them! Haha - free money forever!

This doesn't really work. If someone asked me for a free copy, I usually just ignore them.

However, if you find someone who will give it to you, you could also throw up the fulfillment on your own website, and then SEO your site for "get (name of product) for free" with an opt-in form on the front-end. Free leads.
