There are a few good alternatives out there. medium and substack are simple and free if you just want to focus on writing, tumblr works well for more casual or mixed content blogs and github pages is great if you don’t mind a little setup and want full control over your blog

Give Ghost a try if you can find a free hosting provider or just use their basic tier. It is much faster than Wordpress and doesn't feel like a relic from the 90s like Blogger does

there are a few others like Medium and Substack that let you publish for free and build an audience without hosting your own site. They aren’t exactly the same as WordPress/Blogger in control, but they’re good options if you just want to start writing.
