Capcut is the key that you can use for free. You can search for free software here to remove watermarks from Capcut.
Capcut doesn't offer storage for free, so only very short videos can be uploaded. So, that's not an option with the free plan.
I am not seeing how to automatically add captions in Canva, it seems I need to manually type each screen sentence..

You can use clipchamp or caput commerce pro to add captions to any format of video
Y used clipchamp to add captions to the podcast audio that notebooklm creates. I created a loop 16:9 video for background, I added the audio and then I click on the caption button and i got the subtitles of a 10 minutes speech
You can do the same in capcut commerce pro

Capcut really does it and it does it very well, but it hasn't been free for a long time. With the free version, you can only create 5 subtitles per month (5 subtitles, not 5 subtitles). But it's worth buying Capcut pro, I buy them every year.
