So I sold an item and delivered it via eBay messages. PayPal locked the money in my account until 21 days pass or this dude leaves positive feedback. I check the product that I sent and I can see that this person has redeemed it without leaving any feedback and completely ignoring me. I find it fucking annoying that this shithead was fast to message me in order to receive his item yet when he receives it and activates it he decides to ignore me without bothering to leave feedback so that the money is released. I hope that someone comes around and KO's eBay out of its business, they've literally started breeding this buyer mentality of you're protected so you don't have to care. I've even seen guides on the Internet that are geared towards scamming eBay sellers and they state that you don't have to worry because if the seller doesn't give you a refund then PayPal/eBay will.

Still using paypal ? it's the worst. Try using crypto, it has very small fee's compared to paypal and it's much faster (practically instant)
I recommend Monero (XMR) for transactions, I'm using it as a way to pay my workers and it works great.

Cost of getting access to eBay buyers.

This just isn't how markets work. Buyers dictate payment methods - not sellers.

tell your friend to travel with your item instead, 0% scam rate

Not when I want to sell something, you want that item ? get monero or gtfo. I don't care, someone else will buy it. There's plenty people and not all of them live in a cave.

It's been way over 24 hours since the buyer left positive feedback and good ol GayPal is still holding my money.

You think thats bad?

I delivered a product, it shows so in the tracking, on top of that the buyer left positive feedback.

guess what? 21 days locked still.

I'm going to give them a call soon.

PayPal Mafia.

And here I find myself using PayPal again, oh PayPal how we despise you

So I haven't yet managed to call them, I sold another item and they released the money for that one just now and the buyer didn't leave any feedback. The item had a tracking number. On the other hand the first item was collection only, the buyer left positive feedback and PayPal is still holding the money yet they claim that when you get positive feedback they will release it, such bullshit.

Make sure to call ebay support here:

It's a big problem but as history shows, when big problems come bigger solutions are often around the corner. When companies become too big for their own good something will eventually come to knock it off its perch. As for the customer, not much you can do about bad character but only hope they grow up in the future (I've also seen those rotten communities with people profiting from such a thing too).
