Hello friends,

I just found some PR5 domains to register with DA1/PA1 ...

My question is: Why that low DA/PA if have great PR?

Very strange, and not is only one domain, i found several PR4 domains and 2 PR5 with that metric...

I haven't had any luck?

Because they are fake. But you should focus on its backlinks then its metric.

Even if they all have real looking metric, they can also be easily faked.

Weird... Fake PR?

I checked with scrapebox their PR.. anyway thanks, i think the backlink profile is number one to check, because i bought few domains with TF/CF and DA/PA good but backlink profile not is much good... and i dont see any improvement in ranking :(

Thanks!

Actually, the fastest way to actually filtering out bad domains i persoanlly use is:
1. use ahrefs to export all of its backlinks.
2. Import to Scrapebox, run PR check for EXACT URLS (important).
3. Delete all PR0, if they have a good amount of high PR links, that looks more legit and you should digg deeper into domains that satisfy this requirement.
4. Manually check those backlinks to see what types of backlinsk are those, nofollow/**follow? OBL and sites structure? And why not its backlinks' backlinks?

It is just a brief intruction though.

You can have some fun in this process, extremely time consuming though, but sometime you can find goldmine for dirt cheap.

Thanks for the mini tutorial :D

I do it:

I find like 100 domains available to register (i check with Xenu),

After that i just check their DA/PA but i not have luck with that...

You said to check their backlink profile, but how i check bulk domains? for example i have 1000 domains to check...

Need premium account in ahrefs?

Thanks again!

Probably fake PR, always check the backlink profile.

What do you mean with "i not have luck with that"?

Anyway, here's a process you can follow (I use it personally):

1) Bulk check PA/DA, discard the domains with PA AND DA 1 (if only PA is 1, check the www version). You can do it with Netpeak Checker (it's free). Don't check PR, you can do it at the end of your analysis, it's a "plus" that isn't worth anything.
2) Check archive.org for the remaining domains. Discard the ones which don't (didn't) look legit.
3) Check the backlink profile for the remaining domains. Using majesticSEO, first check the anchor texts, in case you find something shady, then select the referring domains tab and sort them by TF. Then check the placement of the backlinks coming from referring domains with TF>50 (variable number, I focus on finding domains with authority backlinks - wikipedia, etc - so that number is good for me). If you are analyzing a domain with age/long history behind it, check the Historic Index too.

It will take some days if you are going to analyze 1000 domains, but I think 1) and 2) will reduce your list quite a lot.

Ah i forgot to mention i use domcop, set it filter to TF>10 and check those backlinks profile.

If you are scraping, use bulk DA check, there are plenty of them, not sure if there are any bulk TF check.

and yea, i am using a premium ahrefs account.

The pagerank value displayed for the domain you found is fake. Always do a deep analysis of any domain name you find before purchasing it. Also, use Ahrefs instead of Open Site Explorer. If you can't, use Majestic SEO.

Some times though could be real PR, However they could be with zero backlinks or backlinks lost after last PR update.

Check Google's cache for those domains. If they're showing the cache of another site, then the domain owner is attempting to fake PR to make a quick buck.
