Forum with 550k members looking for help with monetization

Hi guys,

I currently have a website with a main function page and adsense, but the website has a forum with 550,000 members and high user activity. For each user forum account we have their (opt-in) e-mail.

The site relates to trading cards & anime. It's definately younger people, mostly 13-25.

The demographic breakdown is:

38% USA
6% Brazil
6% UK
5% Italy
5% Canada
5% Germany
3% Mexico

The site is currently being monetized by AdSense, but we are looking for other options or other ways of monetizing the forum / userbase.

Yeah this is interesting. I'd consider trying to contact the big card companies and seeing if they're interested in buy ad space too. x amount gets them this block x amount gets them this, ect. My friend has a forum with 100k members and increased his earnings by thousands each month by offering up ad banners spots for a monthly fee. Obviously you'd need to write a very professional message to them and be clear to explain the benefits that they could receive by having their ads there. IE: exposure to 500,000+ real active members interested in buying cards.

I know not everyone is a fan of this but theirs also a lot of value in your email list obviously. The companies would surely be interested in that haha
