I've recently opened a Dota 2 fansite of such.

Really looking to create a Forum community I've came into contact with playing other games.

I'm willing to do whatever is necessary to succeed.

Now, how do I drag people from the normal generic and frankly, boring, actual Dota 2 forum to mine?

How can I keep the illusion that I'm a mythical being, but still almost get down on my knees to get some quality sign-ups / members?

Willing to try anything, post it and I'll give it a go!

I would get some close friends to start posting on your forum and then hold a contest or something to attrack other users. You could pay a team to PM the other active users at related forums and tell them the benefits of your forum and to come on over.

I like the PM idea. I've tried bringing my mates in, it has worked, some what.

Need a big influx though, I've got great contests running and such.
