Forum Profiles URLs?

Are they usually some crazy looking url like

hxxp://mydomaincom/index.php?action=profile;u=54367?

For some reason I thought it be like

hxxp://mydomaincom/profile/member5

You will get both type of urls. It depends upon the forum script.

he meant that depends on the forum type the urls are different. smf has "action=profile&u=", expression engine and vbb have "member" in url. it also depends on mod rewrite.
