Forum posting, bookmarking etc to money site -or- buffer sites?

Forum posting, Article submission, Social bookmarking, Directory submissions..

Is it ever okay to point the above directly at money site or should these methods be used only to power up first and/or second tier links? In other words, is it okay to submit your money site to Reddit, Digg etc or should those sites be used only to bookmark your Web 2.0 articles or other authority articles, etc?

in my view we haven't point directly to any of the service...its good if we used like this
web 2.0 main site
and the make strong those web 2.0 with social bookmarking forum posting..
