Forum PBN?

Chance of ranking with forum links are low and on most of the forum will delete/restrict your account if you post content too frequently.

Blogs are better than forum links.

Yeah I've thought about this. It's a lot of work to create all the synthetic content and fake users and all that, lot of work to "salt the tip jar". With all that effort, you might as well make a proper site.

I once purchased an SEO package and ended up with a bunch of "Kliqqi CMS" (a forum / reddit clone software) links. It's possible some of those were a PBN, certainly didn't help rankings, all of the posts on these sites seem to be some SEOs.

I don't think it's a smart strategy. Web apps might be more interesting if you can fit them into a PBN.

Edit: All this discussion of fake forums reminded me of something, a while ago there were these fake carding forums. They would buy a database to make the forum look active, and then anyone who signed up would promptly have their accounts jacked by the admins, after buying. The accounts would all post in broken english 'i got my order thank you sir'

Interesting !
