What do you thing? Would this help to drive more traffic to our store?
Would this help us make our store more valuable?
What kind of forum for a Magento based shop?

Go with Vbulletin. If you have time to keep it updated etc, it is a great platform and very user friendly. Alongside that it can be customized if you have a decent developer by your side. If you utilize your forum well and use different techniques to drive traffic to your main store, then it will help drive extra traffic. More pages indexed etc. It all depends on the time your willing to put into it.

All that aside, you could also build it on another domain to give your store some extra link juice and drive traffic from the forum to the store.

Really depends to be honest.

Depends on the product and if much support would be needed or if you think users would discuss the product.

buy paid reviews,banners on big websites your site will become popular because large amount of visitor base they told.if you have some extra money go with it.SEO is also one cheap way to get some serious traffic.

Depends on the store. Some would see no benefit from it, and it would actually hurt more than help (no posts/little posts is more hurtful than no forum.) If your industry is a social one where people like discussing the products then it would likely be of benefit.

For a forum software, SMF hands down. Its free, ungodly easy to customize and plenty of free mods. If you're shitting gold bricks, can hire a developer and want to pay for everything SMF does for free go with vBulletin.

I put a forum on my affiliate and e-commerce sites if I have the time to maintain them (delete spam, etc.) and if the site's got a lot of competition. The forum makes the site appear like it's going the extra mile to provide for the customer and also is an easy way to get fresh content to your site.
