There are a lot of valuable stuff on this forum, but it gets buried in one-liner replies, memes, jokes, bad English replies that makes little sense, self-promotion or misinformation. You need to dig around that and this isn't a problem specific to BHW, this is a problem with the internet communities in general. Another factor I blame is popularity of investing in crypto or trying to get rich by investing in general. It changed the mindset from trying to create products to trying to invest in other peoples "products". We can't all be investors in this giant circle-jerk scam train. The allure is that you just need to be in early enough on the right token to 1000x 10000x your investment and BAM, you are now rich.

I think the tipping point happened early in 2021 with both BTC craze and GME press coverage. I met people that are not even out of school yet and half of the class got binance apps on their phones. Why obtain skills when you can just HODL and "win" is the new mantra. :rolleyes: Fun times ahead.

I am bombarded with courses trying to sell me "youtube" and "influencer" workshops, wait for it,... for pre-teen kids. Yep, gotta get them while they are young. Becoming internet celebrity and promotor is another dream people have these days besides instant investment success. Those that will fail will perhaps turn into some form of OnlyFans content creators, or to whichever successor. Just the other day I was linked this:

Massachusetts mother-of-three reveals how she quit her job as a neonatal ICU nurse to join OnlyFans where she makes up to $75,000 per month.​

This looks like "make money fast" ad, does it not? Exaggerated numbers and a "personal story". Not sure what is the motivation behind it with the resent press releases from OF shifting away from explicit content though.

Of those that will fail to make enough money to fuel their lifestyle in amateur adult niche, many will transition to this:

Can you imagine the scale of it in 2021, if it had 500k students from UK signed up in early 2020 already?

To sum it up: The way many young people today want to "make it" is mostly by: crypo/stock lottery, becoming an influencer, whoring themselves out (either online or even IRL).

We are killing future generations by making them gamblers like that with get rich quick schemes, it's awful. I know it existed before but not mainstream like today

Without starting, no one can become very rich. And it seems from your words, your knowledge is more than us. And I think you also make a lot of income online. That too very easily.

So you must know how difficult it is to get started. Rather I would say that starting is the hardest thing. If newbies like me can learn the basics from here and can start something from what we learn, then it is a good thing.

But one thing is true if something new is started, a competitor increases in that field.
 
Every year we have a handful of these nut jobs who come in and say the forum is dying and yet they can’t seem to stop caring about BHW. BHW is like that ex you can’t get over for most of these guys lol.

BHW is good to have pretty basic knowledge.

But if you want real expert skills you will absolutely not find it here...

One example, sales funnel... can you link me to one expert post on the forum?

You will never have a full digital comprehension here only.

I also had to elaborate a SEO content strategy for cold, warm and hot traffic for a collaboration with someone.

I have good knowledge about the SEO copywriting funnel structure and wanted to check here if I find something... nada and it's one of the most important thing if you want to keep your content ahead of others in a conversion focus way...

It's why BHW is a good newbie place but not if you want in depth knowledge to improve your business online on the long term.

Cheap money tricks are always here and it's good for third world country yes.

Maybe it's not what it used to be because the front page is filled with sales threads and other garbage. It's just like Re-ddit. On front page you'll mostly find political garbage or some self proclaimed kids who call themselves liberals trying to tell the world how everything is going to burn down tomorrow and how it's the fault of our parents.

But if you dig down deeper, you'll find gold. You have to dig and work your way in to find posts that will get you started. If you can't make a single dollar with the information that is currently available in this form, then I'm afraid you should quit IM and do something that is compatible with your current skills and knowledge.

The forum may not be like it used to be, some things changed for worse, but still it is a very good place to learn some new things, and many people are super useful, even mods are very cool people. We all are here to earn some money, but mods have been very useful and shared some really useful stuff. I have so much respect for those people, I love you all guys, keep up the great work!

This thread easily will go over the heads of people here and even triggered some but some here did get it. This post sums up my point ^

And to add on it, the value you get from here is getting to know people/building connections with like minded individuals.
