forum for wordpress

what is the best free forum software to use that can i can use with my wordpress site?, im currently using phpbb with wp-united, but

my main problem is i keep on getting spam posts, i already added plugins to stop spam, but still some can get through...

any help?

Search in the plugin directory for "forum". You should find a decent amount of plugins that provide a forum. Pick which one suits you best.

Well you probably aren't going to find many for free!

Try Vbulletin as well. I've seen people integrating it with WP somewhere...I am not very sure about the security aspect of vb.

Vbulletin. although its not free.

use vbulletin or try invision power,they both are best for in providing forum software.Most of forums use those both softwares mainly

ok, so i decided to install simple-press forum plugin. although its the forum is free, but the additional plugins requires a paid membership,

anybody knows where to get additional plugins for free?
