Forum Coding anybody?

We just installed some software that came with a built in forum. How it works is that if they are a member of the website, they are automatically a member of the forum.

The problem is that the built in forum SUCKS. So we want to install Vbulletin or something.

The problem with that becomes the site/forum membership integration. Is it possible to install Vbulletin, but run the registration thru the main site.

Does that make sense? If so can anybody do that?

sort of but the other way around. I want Vbulletin to use the same login as the memebers would use from the website.
