I'm trying to push my website with forum/board links. Is it still working for google? If yes, how much time it take google to index the links and improve the ranking?

it's pointless... although you might get some targeted traffic from those boards if you're active on them and they have big following

yes kind of. any backlink that you get for free, easily and/or from forums who do not monitor posts is pointless in 2022.

getting a backlink from a relevant site that has an admin approval process does help. This is free and it is hard to come by.

kind of. Most backlinks that google values these days cost money... unless you have partnerships with SEO agencies that give you links for free

I was seeing a youtube video where one guy mentioned that he still ranked a blog with mix of links including forum links and reached 10k in profit per month.

pbn and guest post sellers will tell you that only those links work... which is NOT true.
forum links work but they are hard to get from big and heavily moderated forums.

spam pbn, guest posts, forum posts won't help you much.
Even good web2.0 can help but only if done properly.

If you're answering a query or adding value to an existing forum conversation then yes, forum links can work well, especially if you're likely to receive traffic through the link too. These are usually called 'crowdo' links nowadays, and there are a few services in the marketplace specialising in them.

Indexing should be fast as you're adding to an already indexed page.

If you're just wanting to create spam threads on forums to promote your site then you're less likely to get anything positive out of it. Ditto for forum profiles with no content on them.

Yeah, its working fine so far. I see lots of people are still doing forum links for their websites/blogs. Basically, it takes sometime to get indexed by Google. But if you can place your websites/blogs into index thread then of course your links will get indexed.

Forums links do help if they are relevant to your niche and have good authority.

But good authority forums are hard to get.
