Forum Backlinking method

Well I took a spin on an old method I used to use to generate extra traffic to lower my CTR through CPA companies to make backlinks.

Pretty simple find high PR forums, sign up and make a post that isn't going get super attention but a few visits. I like the 'introduce yourself threads gets about 40views and they are hardly ever deleted'

remove the . in the first url box. This forum makes it a URL even in a codebox.

This places a 1x1 picture frame for IE users and blank space for firefox. This brings a backlink. I normally make a list of forums this works for and user/pass so when I make a new site I just make a new post somewhere and redo the url trick. I got a Pr3 .info in a very short time just with this method only on VERY common keywords. GoodLuckBHW

A long time ago i used something similar with by using smilies as anchor ;-) but many people says google knows this trick...i dont know what is about a 1x1 pixel image.

oh I wasn't sure if google knew about it or not, I just listed it cause I did it once with an old info and it worked. I was running a check on old domains and 20 forums showed up as a solid backlink after a year on that .info .

I use a the following method...

I outsource people to find simple questions on forums, and have them research an answer for it. I'll try to find technically relevant people if I can, otherwise someone smart enough to do research using the web is fine.

If I'm trying to preserve the site's reputation or branding image, I will have them send me the answer and a link to the thread, so I can review everything and make modifications accordingly.

You have to try to make your link placement seem natural, otherwise some forums will ban you or remove your links. If your content strategy permits, you can even build content that specifically answers that question, and place a link within that thread, this way no one can hate

I won't lie it can be time consuming, and will cost you anywhere from pennies to $20 per link. But it works well, I get traffic from the link, SEO juice, and build the reputation of the website.
