Exactly. There needs to be incentive to shop or gain items etc. play time alone is not profitable for Fort so they won’t pay u.

It's playtime and the amount of unique player joins and that kind of stuff that go into factor, not transactions. Transactions through the shop is how they pay the creators. They pay island creators using a pool of 40% of Fortnites shop purchases in the item shop. But Island creators are paid from Epic based on player retention basically. So it depends on how much playtime and players you get per 1000 and you get a rpm kind of like YouTube. Most people say the rpm is around $10-$13 for them.

Ok, so they make revenue from transactions through the item shop. For instance when people buy vbucks Fortnite makes money. They then use 40% of all that money they make to pay map makers. So if you’re a map maker you’re paid based on your stats and how well your island is performing.
