I used to play poker semi-professionally, but as many of you know the top two online sites went down. Anyways I found some places that I can get back into and play. I'm here because I am trying to find a way I can make some money on the side to start a roll. I have a job currently, but not a lot of money left over to put it towards poker. I need to make at least 500, so I can being to start playing part time at-least. I was thinking maybe doing a JV, but I don't think they work like that.

There is a ton of great information on this site if you guys could point me in the right direction I would be appreciative.

You could possibly write high quality poker related articles (as you know the industry well) and then sell them on DP or places like that.

With such a large amount of money in Poker I cannot see you having difficulties finding work.

Another option would be to start your own poker blog, if you are passionate about it writing should not be a problem for you, which will bring you visitors.

Poker is one of the hardest niches to rank in terms of Google competition so your gonna have to throw SEO right out of the window. As the above poster said, you could sell quality articles on poker forums or adverse an ebook about poker on clickbank

To follow a pattern you should start content locking copyrighted material hosting in Antigua and Barbuda (Antilles) since the WTO just ratified they're allowed to serve as a safe heaven for copyright infringing materials... They started all this in retaliation for outlawing their online casinos in the US, if you see the pattern... What is that site you are talking about pathart?
As above, digitalpoint, good few members not only looking for article writing services but also for specific types of content (hopefully poker in your case). You can also list a certain amount of articles, i.e 10x 500 word articles on 'winning poker', then offer discounts for people who buy in bulk.

There are a lot of options.

Hard for US guys to get staked there, and I am looking to grind out some live poker mixed in with some online. I thought about making a staking forum here, but I doubt anyone would go for that. Going to go try out digital point and see what happens. You a grinder also lietuvis002?

Even if its not the kind of compensation you could wish, my poker community shark4life ( just google it im not allowed to post links yet) has its own reward system.

So if you blog there you get a little compensation.

I would strongly appreciate it of course.

Selling articles is a good way to start. Either start writing a blog at my community, or start your own blog, create some content and publish it so interested buyers can see your skills.

There are a few poker and gambling forums you could start . check out pokeraffiliatelistings and gpwa for starters...

My advise would also be to start a blog, if you want to stay in the poker niche.
Otherwise, there is tons of methods in the Make Money forum :)

My advice would be to get into counseling for your gambling addiction. Been there and done that. It's not too late to change but first you must recognize the problem.

Good luck.

How do you know he has a gambling addiction?
People are always advised to start working in niches they are interested in...
But ss soon as it is something out of the ordinary it's a bad thing?

With kind regards,
