Forgotten Facebook Pages

Hello guys!

When researching, I found a lot of Facebook page about a niche that has thousands to hundreds of thousands followers but they are abanddoned. Maybe the owner forgot about them or no longer need them. Let's look at this one.

These kind of pages have high potential to monetize but they are wasted now. I cannot contact the owner to get accessed to revive them because of very long time.

What's a pity!

Is there any way to get access? Facebook does not work like reddit where we can take subreddit that no longer be moderated

maybe they forgot about that page, or lost access, if you need such old pages, you can go buy them.

I actually want to buy them but I cannot find owner's contact. Message doesn't work coz the owner forgot the page. Some left the website but it is no longer accessed too. Many goldmines have been abandoned.
 
Abandoned pages with large followings are a real waste of potential assets, especially in niches with high commercial value. However, without admin rights or direct interaction from within, the chances of recovery are almost zero due to tight security mechanisms. Unlike some other platforms that allow for inactive asset takeovers, the system requires clear ownership, no exceptions. In rare cases, if the page has links to a functioning website, chatbot, or email, you can try to reach out through those channels. But without a signal from the admin, any outreach is strictly limited.
 
You can try claiming the page in Business Manager with proof of ownership, but if Facebook rejects it, you won’t be able to access it.
 
It's a shame that they may have been forgotten. I think the owners lost interest, moved on to other businesses, or just didn't see the value in them anymore and abandoned them. If you can reach out to them to become admins for those pages, this is an opportunity if properly restored - with the right content, re-engaging with the old community, and growing further.
 
It's possible the owner is no longer using this account, messaging them is hopeless.
 
Yeah, we’ve revived a few aged pages with decent engagement — works well for credibility in niche offers.
Just be careful with sudden activity spikes or Meta might flag it.
 
Some admins left their website in About section. But the websites are no longer active too. I'm using waybackmachine to find their own email address or social media contact but no luck till now.
 
With such a potential page with so many followers, if they really leave it, it would be a waste, but I think the reason could be that they no longer have access to that page. For example, their profile holding that page is restricted, and they can no longer access it.
 
I think with sites like that the owners often get their accounts locked and they can't reopen them so they forget about it.
 
There is no legal and official way for you to ask Facebook to grant access or take over an abandoned Fanpage, just because the old owner is no longer active or unreachable, because it is not yours in the first place.
 
A potential page with a large following would be a real waste if they truly walked away from it. The owner might often have their account locked and be unable to recover it, which results in them losing access to the page.
 
Interesting observation - there are tons of niche pages with big followings that haven’t posted in years. Some still get organic reach from old content.
 
Maybe their profile is keeping that page restricted and they can no longer access it.
 
The owner is definitely aware of the potential of their pages because they are internwt marketer too. So I think of two possible reason:

1. Their own Facebook profile which manage the pages are restricted/banned
2. The page itself is restricted/banned.

The chance to take over that pages is zero.
 
Yeah, I hate seeing those abandoned pages because of all the lost potential.

The only way to recover some of that potential would be to rehash their content on a new page/group, which would lessen the burden of coming up with new content.

I'm currently trying to start a new FB group, so I'm scraping content from abandoned pages and groups.

FB Pages without admins are mostly taken down by Meta, am I right?
