Forex anyone?

I know we can get us one of those forex bots and all get rich LoL. Has anyone ever looked at or tried one of those programs? At least it would eliminate the emotional factor. Or at least till ya woke up broke, oops I mean rich. haha

Automated trading is like automated website building, you can execute a lot of trades, hands free, and even make a slight profit but eventually you will go down.

I wouldn't mind having one running on my computer. But I would probably never let it make my trades without me knowing what it is doing and certainly not while I'm asleep.
In the end, it's my money down the line...

EA's are good in theory, but they're all just optimized for backtesting - programmers tweak variables and get perfect results on back tests but in reality, they wouldn't work in changing market conditions.

I've tried EA's but i simply don't trust them, i learnt the system inside and out and traded it myself. But then again i love forex so i don't mind doing that.

And you're right, it is a full time job - you need to be there at the right time to enter, and the right time to exit.

Truth is its not *that* hard to judge once you understand how everything works. Once i've got some spare money i'll fund a live account for someone, teach them my strategy & any profit they make, they can keep aslong as i get my deposit back at the end!

i think thats fair =P

New traders fail for a couple of big reasons....

1.) Undercapitalization
2.) Risk/Reward ratio all out wack. They take 50 pips on a loss and then get nervous on a winning trade and bail when they have a 10 pip profit...thats way out of wack
3.) Scalping without massive amounts of experience.....the spread will eat you alive.
4.) Money management - DOnt risk more than 2-5% of your account on any trade.

Check out the book "Trading in the Zone" by Mark Douglas, he covers the topics above in great detail.
