Hello,

I wanted to ask if submitting content in other languages to your 2.0, directories etc etc, would have an impact such as the owner of the site removing the content because of the language.

Also, does Google even give a shit about the language?

Thats all, I am about to start a couple of campaigns in foreign languages and I would like to know whether it is advisable or not to submit the content in the domain's language.

Thanks in advance!

When you submit non-English sites to English sites, the backlinks are very much discounted. It doesn't harm you, but it's a wasted effort. You're better off matching languages, submit Spanish to Spanish directories, English to English and so on.

I do not really understand why would it be "discounted" as you mention. Would you care to explain it in depth please?

As for my understanding, the content will be exactly the same no matter where it is posted, and the links should not vary depending on the language.

Also, what is the advantage, other than people potentially seeing your tier 1, of writing in the money page's language?

There will be no problem in getting backlinks from other language sites. You just need to use your targeted language anchors for your url.

I uderstand, thanks a lot for the reply.

Now, in the event I decided to create all content in Spanish, because of the possibility of Spanish speakers reading the content; would I have any trouble when submitting the content in Spanish to some of the usual directories? Would it get deleted?

All in all, I would always prefer to work with the same language as it is featured on the money site, mainly because a few folks will get to see it, and if it matches the language of the site, it will bring geo targeted users, however, I am unsure mainly because of the acceptance of this content by the directories.

Thanks again!

One example. Google sees something.ES as localized to Spain. Link A is example.es to something.es, both have same topic, etc. Link A is worth 100 weight.

Then example.es links to example.com in English. This spanish -> english link is worth a fraction of Link A.

They won't harm you, but if you spend your time matching languages your effort is better rewarded.

English web 2.0 blogs won't accept foreign content. Most of the times they detect the content and it's gonna be deleted.

However, I rank foreign keywords using english content so your dillema should be solved now. :)
