Foreign websites and traffic

Do any of you guys focus your ideas on foreign Internet traffic? I was thinking of creating niche sites in portuguese to focus on Brazilian Americans and Brazil in general. (google.com.br) I was wondering if any of you are doing this and what your success rates are? AQre there any cpa networks that focus on products for specific countries? What about adsense? Any help would be appreciated.

I currently do spanish websites. I have been looking for CPA's, I am currently using adsense.. It pays a lot less than US... I mean A LOT. (the same keyword in english pays 400% more)

That is what I was afraid of. I am intrigued by the other countries because their Internet is so much less developed than the USA. Kind of a chance to do there what I wish I would have done here 5-10 years ago.

Same here, Spain is way behind and the Spanish hate to buy online IMHO

I have some portuguese br sites and got tell you that the money adsense pays is hardly enough to cover your hosting bills. One of my first sites on the health niche gets 500 vistis a day and i receive less than 1 usd. If it was a US site i'd prolly be getting more than 30 usd i guess.

Also, there is no good cpa besides mercado livre, but the conversion is way poor. There is only one keyword that i know has a reasonable value. This is the keyword i'm trying to rank for right now, but competition is fierce. My site gets 150 visits a day and i get 3 usd / day.

You got also build a professional looking website, preferably with a dotcom. For some reason my dotcom sites get more per click.

Off course competition is not so strong for some keywords. Another interesting thing abot Brazil is that black hat sites are reported frequently. I lost 2 grey hat sites and i know a lot of sites from competitors that disappeared out of the blue. I guy was adding links to a widget and his site was ranking first ( 5000 indexed on yahoo ). One week later he disappeared and hasn't come back since.


Don't feel disheartened though. Build and see if you have more luck than me. You can make money anywhere, just have to find the right method.

Easier to get traffic because there are way less people trying to get traffic on a commercial basis. Pin submits tend to be the way to go for many non-English countries - they may not have credit cards and there might not be any email submits available, but most of them have got cell phones.

Could you elaborate on this? What are pin submits? (Googled but found nothing relavant?)

Mobile phone submits where the surfer fills their phone number into the form on the CPA offer page, then they get sent a pin number to their mobile phone. They fill that pin number into the CPA page to confirm and then you get your conversion.

In the fine print of the offer, there will be something like "you agree to be sent 5 messages a week at $3 each" or something like that.

Payouts for you tend to be $2-$10 per pin submit depending on the country. Good payouts but it's a hard conversion to make because most people these days realize that it's not free. Most CPA networks have some pin submits to promote.

Thanks I'll have to look, although the problem I also see here is going to be is getting the place to do the pin submit to have the offer in spanish for other countires..
