Is anyone out there using foreign social media platforms for traffic? Such as the Russian VK or even Odnoklassniki?

Just thought I'd ask some expert feedback:)

Thanks guys.

why u need foreign traffic if your target native EU/US traffics?

We can help you with this issue.
Do not hesitate to contact me via skype or PM.

i haven't done it myself, but obviously there are people who do it

i'm from Central EU and there was an invite only social network mostly for Hungarians called "iwiw", basically everybody who had internet in my country was on it (a few million people - "On Dec 24, 2008 the number of registered users on iWiW 4 million, covering almost all internet users in Hungary."), i say "was", because it was discontinued 2 months ago, it was much alike facebook, so FB killed it slowly, although it was started 2 years before facebook, and my point with this is: my inbox was always flooded with spam, especially lately, so it was used for marketing purposes despite in my country internet marketing is still not a well or widely known thing in 2014
you can imagine what kind of "damage" can be made on a network like this where you can reach basically a whole nation
if you're a coder yourself or you can find somebody who can make a bot and you have the right offer or even a local service to promote, you can have great results, competition won't be that hard and the security measures more than likely won't be that strict

however i can imagine the Russian social networks are already spammed to death, maybe no
but there are always other countries to look into

I've heard similar feedback for VK as well, although it's still very very popular with natives. I'll give it some more research time. :)

I did the promotion with Russian VK. It's a nice platform that bring more traffic to my website. I think you can try it.

For example Russian vk has over 75 000 000 users, how do you think do we use it to drive traffic?)) Vk is main resource of traffic if you do CPA in Russian market, there is still many bots to manipulate vkontakte and odnoklassniki, also very important that VK more used by young people, mostly under 30, and odnoklassniki majority over 30.

Vk and odnoklassniki top 1 network for example in Belorussia, Ukraine and it used by most of the countries who have been in USSR

For Russian market first traffic source if you do CPA will be yandex (best converting traffic)
Second will be vkontakte and only third google, youtube, facebook etc, for russian traffic I personally do not use face
Statisctic from GA, for Russian Cpa offer

We use it. On Odesk I have seen numerous jobs of maintaining VK or Odnoklassniki accounts from USA or European companies. So I guess it is becoming more and more popular.

Why it's more popular than Facebook in these foreign countries (former USSR): Free entertainment. VK offers integrated BitTorrent file sharing, and it has long been a source of both local and international movies dubbed into Russian. It also operates a music service that has repeatedly landed it on the U.S. Trade Representative's list of the world's most egregious copyright violators.

Getting started with VK is easy. It asks you to narrow down where you're from, and has a database of seemingly every high school and college in the U.S. Unfortunately, none of the kids who may have graduated from your high school appear among the nearly 200 million who use the service.

Also unfortunately, signing up requires a cell phone confirmation. American numbers don't work—at least mine didn't—and tech support didn't respond to my requests for help. So it's safe to say that this is the least-friendly for Americans, if only by default.
