For UK site - US hosting?!!

I want to make one site it will be for UK traffic only , but my hosting is of course in US.
Do you think it plays a big role where the server is located at in terms or rankings?

I dont think it will affect your site ranking based on server location.

I don't think your server affects your ranking but I think your TLD affects your Google UK search position.
