I love my tools and have a good output of articles daily, however for my own private network I'll only handspin. And I just found a really simple way to do it that I've never seen mentioned anywhere.
So either
A) I'm an idiot for not seeing the "that obvious that no-one bothered mentioning it" trick and have been doing it all wrong for years
B) It's a good idea/method and I should tell you guys about it.

So I'm assuming you've all got that 149,000 PLR article download shared here a couple of months ago. If you don't have it look to the top right - there's a search button.
Now do a plain windows search in the folder for your keyword. Open 2 or 3 articles, also make sure they're broken up into paragraphs, some just have tags and they're a pain. Now open a blank notepad.
Cut and paste the first paragraph of each article into the empty notepad like this {article 1 first paragraph|article 2 first paragraph|article 2 first paragraph}. Then continue until the articles finished.
Remember how we cut and pasted the paragraphs, now save them as they are. This way you won't accidently reuse them.
Now you should have approximately a 1200 word article that actually is 4,500 different articles (of sections of duplicate content) when spun, assuming 6 paragraphs spun 3 ways.
Now we need to do the individual word spinning, and this is the tricky bit. Work down the document and use the replace function for your spinning. That way you will only have to spin each word once and the replace function will spin that word the same way in the rest of the article. Any that don't read right can be fixed as you go.
I find spinning with the replace function enables you to hand spin the above 1200 words in about 1/3 of the time.
So either
