For the Youtube Editing experts - How does one do this?

This channel does interviews with guests and records them remotely. How does he get the recording of the guests to show like that? Like is that editing software or if so, which one?

I have been breaking my head over this because the concept is so cool and I would love to try it, but I need some advice on how he does that...Anyone?

I don't find any editing all i can see he invites and records in front of them.
 
I think you have to be more specific. Maybe I am just crazy but I really don't understand what you mean.
 
If the guest is remotely there then they probably use a green wall to record the guest but why would the guest go through such trouble of setting up the wall.

All I see can be made using Adobe premiere and Aftereffects. By someone quite experienced.

P.S. The guest showing in TV view must be easy though on premiere by masking the screen.
 
To be honest this is nothing special you can make that easy.

Yes! That is exactly what I was referring. So you say it can be easily done in Premiere, great to know.

I wonder if he records them live with that masking editing or not, my guess is he does this masking afterwards

Another member called the recording of the guests as “masking the screen” on Premiere software, you agree?

The masking is done in after edits.

One last question - since you cannot literally see the Masking of the screen apart from post-editing - - why does it look like he’s literally speaking to them live on the TV?

I think that he times his questions with the video on the screen like news anchors do.

A lot of times a video conversation with a guest is not in real time and recorded hours before the show but the anchor acts as if the conversation is live.

My guess is that he is actually having a call with them through that TV , notice the camera on the top.
At the same time the guests video is being recorded
So after it's done you just mask the TV (notice how the camera is always static, no zoom or movements, so it's very easy to make a static mask) and play the recorded guests part in it
IMO it would make no sense to have the interview, and then make a reenactment of it by yourself .

I can definitely see what you mean. That might be the case if anything.
You’re spot on with that re-enactment method, might be an overkill. Having an actual screen will make the editing process much quicker. Nice to see both methods now and having options on what I can potentially create!
