For SEO purposes, what is better for a small website: HTML or Wordpress?

Hello,

My niche does not need constant content updates/entries, and the website consist in only 8-15 webpages (info website). (note: it terms of content would not bring any value to the user more content than 8-15 pages/posts, if it have more than 8-15 it will be just stupid content to make unique content)

My competitors all have their pages in simple HTML and doing well.

I'm OK with WordPress or better use HTML?

HTML faster than WordPress, I recommend static pages for not need to update websites. HTML will be better for your project.

if you are not planning to add many bells and whistles, then a wordpress would be ok, ONLY if go after it and optimize it using speed plugins.

get yourself a a basic wordpress theme that gets solid scores across https://webpagetest.org and https://gtmetrix.com/

For single page HTML is best, for dynamic website wordpress is best.

Thaks for your discussion. Isn't it obvious wordpress is used more often, 10-1. But you are asking why? Or... In otherwords, more people go with wordpress, 10-1.

I would highly recommend to build the website using HTML, avoid CMS or any templates because they can generate pages that you don't normally wanna use.

I think that most people goes with WP because it is easier ... you find zillions of wordpress themes than you can install with 3 clicks and a billion of plugins that optimize for SEO with a couple of clicks too ... with HTML (maybe I'm wrong), but there isn't an industry for that like WP has ... For me it would be 1000x easier with WP since it's just set up a a theme, plugins and create content during 3 days ... with HTML it's not that easy ...

Someone recomend me a tool for HTML design/seo?

For static pages and no frequent future updates, go with HTML.

Last time I use an HTML editor was frontpage. Any software that allows to create a website visually and a responsive template?

Though HTML websites are easy to maintain and faster but if you are not very well versed with SEO then wordpress is recommended as it is more SEO friendly.
