It is always good to ask for the payment upfront because there are production costs associated apart from covering the risk. You need to convey this to your clients. If they agree to pay at least 50% upfront, it is a good thing. If they pay 100% then nothing like that. Depends upon how you deal with them.
Be clear on what you want and never shy from asking the advance payment.
Once a week is very slow in todays times. You have to increase the uploading frequency, because if your videos are getting views then it is the best time to make most of this opportunity. Uploading frequently (without compromising on the quality of the content) will increase your views and subscribers. With increased metrics you can ask for better pay to your clients for any paid promotion.
Honestly, it is all upto you. No one can give a definate answer without knowing your niche, subscribers and exact products you are planning to promote. But if you are getting 10k - 20k views per video organically then do not settle for very less. You are in a good position to demand a bit higher pay IMO.
Thanks a lot for your response, I really appreciate it. about my question about how much I should charge here are the details of my channel:
Subs: 39k going 40k mostlikely this month.
Video views: 10k+ per video after a week or two of from the date they were uploaded, sometimes they get 30k - 50k views in just 3 days but it only happens randomly.
Niche: Gaming
Top geo: Italy, Germany, Uk, India, Philippines, US
Channel age: 2 and half years old but channel only entered the algorithm about a year ago.
additionally, I already had 2 sponsorships before, they luckily paid me but only for about a hundred dollars as the channel was still small back then.
I hope you or other experienced people here could give me an advise on what the reasonable I should charge is.

Weekly upload is all I'm capable of for now. If I try to force myself into uploading more often, I wont be able to maintain same quality and would burn my self out fast. and I cant afford to hire a team to scale up things.
2 years of weekly uploads paid off though so I think I'm good.
I only accept partnering with the ones who are willing to pay in advance or atleast pay 50% upfront fee, if they bring up company payment process that takes a week or so, their email goes directly to archive or trash.
Yea I turned down 2 of them already because of that same reason. One of them even told me that prepay is not how sponsorships work, for some reason it kind of pissed me off so he went straight to my trash bin lol
