While you can just keep $15k in a separate bank, let's call it MyBankAfterDeath
& That should keep you renewed for another 1,000 years. Assuming prices don't go over $15 a year and your chosen registrar doesn't die or stops auto-renewing.

Yeah, I don't get it.

Namecheap will be around, just auto-renewal enabled and keep the funds on the account.

Also, Swiss or Liechtenstein Trusts managed by a law firm could act as the domain holder and hold the domain indefinitely. Surely, a Trust would be more expensive but anybody who can afford $38k for a domain has surely other assets he might give over to the Trust to have his future family generations benefit from it. Just a thought.

You can get some domains for lifetime on unlimited domains. Although there are some DNS issues with web 3.0 domains

Imagine buy it, putting it on some web3.0 domain with durex/trojan ads all over it
