I agree with this, and every christmas day after lunch all the kids would show off their new bike/skates/board, now everyone is inside on their consoles (not that they would be allowed out with all the weirdos around)

you could leave home in the morning and as long as you were home before the street lights come on it was all good

1975 Here.

Born in Asia. The kids here today are also a lot different compared to 70's.
The story of human around the globe are same.

The very young ones are still excited when they are introduced the "hide and seek" game. But once they start watching TV and get their hands on the gadgets and start going to school the kids change dramatically.

this two objects, lol....

Haha, this is my backup computer at the workstation. :)

UcDix

I need to figure out a way to hook it up to my spare 20" monitor or get a new little tv for it at a garage sale. My old TV quit working for it, and now I'm left without my Bug Hunt work breaks. :(

haha yeah so much of that first part is true, i was born in 82 but I did have PS later on. My favorite part is recording cassettes i remember doing that... even young i remember putting the microphone to the speaker and recording from the radio.

I also remember browsing the internet with 2400 dialup modem and connecting to BBS and playing doom over the phoneline with my friend.. Good days

I remember playing football and skateboarding outside with my friends and playing mario bros on nintendo, then going inside and watching simpsons at 6:00. Hell, the simpsons were born in the 80's and they still around with us lol. The 80's and even the 90's really were the best time of my life, as im sure almost everyone else here agrees. :D

I couldn't agree more with you :)

because we had no mobile phones I can still walk for miles without getting tired and if I find a young girl who can walk at least 10 minutes with me I immediately fall in love with her

this two objects, lol....

if you aren't from that era you would think it was used to write your playlist in the blocks..but the realness is that you used it to wind the tape back up when you had to pull the tape out because it was twisted.. :D

Super nintendo... brings back memories of many sleepless nights

lol as I reread this thread again it reminds me of how I made my first dollars on the internet. This was back when South Park just became popular in like '99. I made "buss passes" for cartman, kyle, kenny, and stan printed on my shitty ass printer and laminated with the cheapest material ever made. I would put them on yahoo auctions, before eBay was a household name, and would make $5-10 a card. I was making decent cash for a teenager.

I wish I would of kept doing those things, I could probably be pretty wealthy right now. I was making money off the internet before 75% of america even knew what the internet was.

No one for the Odyssey? Yeah I remember playing pitfall and some others trying to hit the score the book said. Then you take a picture of your tv and send it to join the pitfall club or something. Seemed so hard back then but can still get moab on MW3. Had the ColecoVision too. Recall thinking I was programming on my Commadore64 typing out the code they gave in books and running it. 10 this 20 that 30 this 40 that RUN, and the bad GOTO.

All that being said I wish I was born now instead, can't miss what you didn't have. Not materialistic but love seeing the technology advancing so fast.

I was born in 85 and i got my mobile in 2008. So live without mobile for more than 23 years. The life is now becoming boring because of internet, mobile etc. I think we should revert to our old life. It was better than this..

oh i just love the simplicity of life back then. @mary duck hunt?! seriously?! i fall asleep playing battle city and contra :D

seriously...I hate the way kids look and behave these days :(

Today the light changed to green only drooling retard was still in the road, crossing. He had to use both hands to hold his pants up as he tried to shuffle across the street while I did him the favor of not running his dumbass over. I wanted to say "HAY RETARD! You look like a FUCKING RETARD." but I didn't because that would be rude.

Do these retards know they look like they're retarded? Do they care?

What about these homos with the gauged ears? I go to Home Depot, and spiky-haired emo homo with falling down pants, pierced lip and gauged ears says "Is there anything I can help you with, Sir." and I can't help but think that this retard can't even help himself to not look like a fucking retard, how the hell does he think he's going to help me buy a hot water heater?

And what about the managers that hire these retards? The spiky haired Goth retard that can't read my order back to me at Arby's because she has a HUGE dick-sucking piercing (the fluorescent yellow rubbery one, that frankly looks like a fishing lure) in her mouth and she can't figure out how to say "Double Arby's Sandwich" with that X-rated fellatiation device creating a speech impediment it sounded more like "Imaneedadikinmahmouf. Is that to go, Sir?" Now I have porn flashbacks every time I drive by an Arby's, and I crave a mocha frappe shake every time I watch porn.
