Footer link

any proof for this?
I have been experiencing it in my personal projects for the last year, this is a recommendation for you to try, of course there is no proof that it will perform the same on every site.

I thought it was universal... Oh well...

High traffic links are more valuable and if you are in the footer you will get a little traffic from that too. But, that sounds super expensive. Getting in the footer means you're on every page(most pages).

Won't it be considered spam, if my link is in every footer page of a website? Even unrelated pages?

A lot of developers put their link in the footer. Google knows the difference. So if you are a plumber then yes it won't have the same affect. You won't get a penalty, it will just be lost effort.

The fact that it is expensive is obvious, but we can at least say that it is a foreseeable work. It's hard to get your money's worth these days.

In fact, the interaction received is worth spending time on your site, so having a relevant site will increase the potential even more.
