Footer Backlink?!

In one thread in here some guy posted, that don't insert any footer backlinks. Because it will impact bad someway.

i have in two websites footer "backlink", i don't know if the google scraps it or anything like that. Because that's not the point what i want..

In my Footer there is sitemap, category and other important staff. (social icons, contact, Privacy).

But below the footer footer there is:
Site Name - Made by "name"!

and in that name there is my website address included.

Blackhatworld has the same thing:


So should i remove that link? The point in that is to get visitors and some kind of hype/glory, customers and knowledge.

Footer backlinks for credit, such as "website design by [link]" is fine - as long as you don't use spammy anchor text eg using your keyword.

external backlinks in footers can have big SEO value because they appear on every single page of a site they're sitewide.

If the next is not spam it will not bring any problems

Which is why you should consider if it would be a wise idea, since it could add hundreds or thousands of links from a single ref domain. It can add value, but can be a potential issue as well. Especially if you do this on many websites.

Should a footer backlink be a hey word, to like just an HTTP:// link?
