Hello guys,

I have a lot of time right now. As a trained chef, I like to prepare new dishes. At the moment I am trying to lose weight with smoothies and juices. Is it worth the work creating a food blog?

I know Wordpress, Basic White Hat SEO and Pinterest.

Do any of you have a food blog?

Competitive but if you are a chef you have an advantage over some.

Can you make videos of meal prep? Instagram? Tik Tok?

Like any niche take a look at what is out there and find an angle.

Food cooking niche is great. Lots of angles, lots of keywords and subniches.

I had one for a while and even though years ago I worked as a chef and still love cooking when I get time, I hired a chef writer to do content for me complete with photos of dishes as he was preparing them and the completed dish.

This is much better than the 500 blogs posting about burgers and using the Pixabay images.

It's a highly competitive niche, but if you're prepared to add a personal touch you could differentiate yourself from the competition. I'd also suggest either learning or outsourcing photography/video editing if possible, as professional photos/videos pay off in this niche.

I guess you can gain EAT quickly with your legit chef experience. Just make sure to stand out with your recipes and pictures and not use the same stock or royalty free images out there.

I think you should consider doing a vlog instead or at least with your blog. That's where the money is at when it comes to cooking, it's a youtube gold mine.

ofc it is. as long as u get enough traffic - there is $ to be made. and people love food.

Hello,

unique, quality and optimized pictures are the key. Will start in a sub food niche and post 3 recipes in a week.
Informational content (4k words each) like how to guides and types of diets maybe 2 or 3 each month.

keyword research starts now :D

Prepare to compete against entreched mommy bloggers.

Go for it friend. It will be good!
Also, the food niche becomes effective when the person is well-aware of what he/she is doing. As you are a chef yourself, you can add a twist in your recipes/videos that make you distinct from others. People always like something unique.
Best of luck.

Depends, its quite competitive but here's what I'd do.

Create it, target local chefs as in post about their foods etc... Link to them, message them (easy to find details) this will show them that wow someone is actually posting about them and in return you may get a shout out on their social media etc. One way to do it.

Jesus Christ, have a perfect domain for you, you will love it :) Send me a message

Thanks micho, i found a nice domain :)
