I have a pretty high end, classy and decent looking food blog.

Does anyone have any ideas how to bring traffic to this and really monetize it?

Check it out if you want!
pm me for a quick look

thanks!

Can you tell us more about your blog?

Submit your recipes on popular food recipe networks like Foodgawker, Tastespotting, or even create your own food recipe network website yourself ;)

Tip if you're submitting to these sites - Make sure your photos are up to par. I have about a 60% success rate but have had some rejected. Once you get on it's a nice stream of traffic.

Well im doing a lot of like high end photography type of pictures..and i dont want to just post my site in scaredness this might get taken down, thats why i asked to get PM'd for the site!

I didn't mean the website but what type of food blog you're running. I.e. are you posting food reviews of local restaraunts or just recipes?

fearcalvin,
First of all, nice blog! I love food blogs and yours seems on par with some of the others I have seen.

I still struggle with monetization, but here are some ideas about traffic. Looks like you have a lot of pages indexed by google so that part looks good. If you want traffic you can do many things. Here are some ideas:

1. 1 Get your blog higher in the serps. Searching for your keyword your blog was #27. If you can get it to page 1 you will get a lot more visitors.

1a. make sure your onpage SEO is good. You might want to make your meta description longer - it should be between 50-150 characters and maybe add a few more meta keywords. You probably need a "H1" heading on your home page that includes your keyword and I would change your alt tags on your pictures to your keyword as well.

1b. You will need quality backlinks to raise yourself in the serps. Look for other quality blogs try to post relevant thoughts about it and leave your link to your blog. You can also visit food networks and recipe sites and do the same. One more thing that you can do is search out food forums and create some posts on them. After a while go back and add your site to your signature and keep posting on them. (This will also bring traffic directly from those sites and raise your site up in the serps).

2. Of course you can pay for services here in the Buy/Sell/Trade section and most of them will be helpful in raising your site in the serps.

Good luck!

The food blog is a good one because people really interested to get the knowledge about the food recipes and to drive more traffic into your blog then you can submit your blog into the social sites.

1. Write Amazon Reviews and post them on your site with your aff-link.
2. CPM if you have enough traffic you might want to give this a try.

Posting home-made recipes would be a good one. I've known some food blog owners and every time they post recipes of their dishes, their analytics would spike up and of course, comments from frequent visitors do come as well.

the one and oly easiest way is opting SEO..though u can bring traffic through Social media traffic like twitter, facebook.
