Hi,

I bought FL some weeks ago and my hosting provider twice said to me I used to much of my memory.
I looked it up and saw that one of my FL instances is using 675.6 MB which is extremely high..
I'm only running 2 FL instances so that probably wouldn't make that problem..
VPS Specs:
Windows 2012 Server
1 GB RAM
15 GB Disk Space
3 Cores @ 2100Mhz (Xeon E5-2620 v2)
Hosting provider is Smiba Hosting (Dutch)

Anyone know how to fix this? lol..

And this is after closing FL, opening it 2 times again. With the result after 10 minutes:

If the memory goes up as you're running it and it's never released, that means there might be memory leaks in the software. Either way, you should be contacting FollowLiker support for this matter in my opinion.

i'ts eating that much ram stable? because for me sometimes when i start the bot it goes 100% ( vps has 4 gb ram ) but then, after a while (5- 10 mins) it goes back to normal (5 - 10% cpu) eating 20% - 30% ram
The first screenshot was after running around 24 hours or longer. The second screenshot is after 10 minutes, so it isn't only on the startup.

FWIW, I run both Twitter & Instagram versions at the same time & don't see any problems. How many threads are you running? I'm on version 9.2.7

Latest version, 2 threads. 1 is doing fine with around 30 MB, the other one uses up to 700 MB.

The only fix for that, if you buy more RAM into your machine or RAM extension to your VPS, maybe an SSD too.

I don't use FL anymore, but if you run a lot of accs/threads/tasks simultaneously, that needs (a lot of) RAM. I don't say that the memory optimization couldn't be better though.

I use a different tool where i can turn off the process log (so it doesn't need to write on the disk continuously), that way it consumes around 500 MB of RAM even if i run 100 threads at once, which is pretty damn good.
When you start the tool, it's normal if the RAM consumption goes up, because it loads itself, accs, different data files, settings, but when it's idle or you run a low amount of threads, the RAM consumption shouldn't stay high.
I don't know exactly how FL reads/writes the logs and datastore files, but if you talk to the support, you can try asking for an option to be able to turn off the log, maybe that would help a bit.

The tool scrapes, follows, likes, uploads, comments etc while it's writing the log, and reading and writing datastore files on your disk, no wonder that it takes RAM.

tl;dr You will need more RAM and an SSD, if you want to speed things up.

Thanks for the reply. The VPS I have now already is a SSD. It's not a big problem for me to buy more RAM, I just want to know for sure that there is no other way to fix this as this is just extremely high, even for FL..

My current usage. Both processes have been running since middle of last week & are actively doing quite a bit! I don't think your issue is normal. I'd contact support.

Which one is the best followliker or massplanner?

i have much smaller numbers ... 0% CPU and 10mb memory
